This show is in memory of Adam Joseph Shafer.   Adam was in an accident in his truck on the way to work  on January 19th, 2005. He fell asleep at the wheel, left the road and hit a tree. When Adam came to, he used his cell phone to call 911. Not knowing where he was, and only remembering heading South on M-40, the dispatcher sent out several rescue squads looking for him. After finding Adam, two jaws of life were used to free him from his vehicle. From there Adam was taken to a local hospital and stabilized, from there Adam was trasferred to Borgess Hospital. After three weeks in the hospital, and nine surgerys, Adam went to be with his maker, on Febuary 8th, 2005.
Adam graduated from Lawton High School in June of 2000, with high honors. Adam was Academic All- Conference for football, and all conference for baseball. Adam returned in the Spring of 2004 to be the head baseball coach. Baseball was Adam's favorite sport, and the family decided to have a car show in his memory, with all the proceeds going to help a baseball student athlete further their education with a college scholarship.
